Executive brief
The U-speed WIFI4 N300 T1 Pro router v1.0.0 transmits administrator login credentials over unencrypted HTTP. An attacker with local network access can capture usernames and passwords as they are transmitted, gaining unauthorized administrative control of the device and potentially the entire home or office network.
Technical details
The vulnerability is a cleartext transmission flaw (CWE-319) where the router's HTTP interface sends login credentials without encryption. The attack vector is adjacent network access—an attacker on the same local network segment can passively sniff HTTP traffic to capture authentication credentials. No special privileges or user interaction beyond normal login are required. A successful exploit allows the attacker to read valid administrator credentials and subsequently authenticate to the device for full administrative access. The remediation requires the device to enforce HTTPS with a valid TLS certificate for all sensitive operations.
