Oracle Coherence, a widely used data grid solution for high-speed data processing and storage, contains a critical security flaw. An unauthorized attacker can remotely take full control of the system over the network without needing any login credentials. Technical details
A critical vulnerability exists in the Core component of Oracle Coherence (Oracle Fusion Middleware). The flaw is characterized by a low attack complexity and requires no authentication or user interaction. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending malicious TCP packets to the affected service. Successful exploitation allows for a complete compromise of the Oracle Coherence instance, granting the attacker full control over the data grid.
