Cisco's Secure Firewall appliances (ASA and FTD) are used to control network traffic between protected and external networks. A flaw in how access control rules handle object group searches could allow an attacker to send network traffic that should be blocked, potentially reaching systems behind the firewall. This bypasses the security policies intended to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data.
