CVE-2026-120205 · Severity: high · CVSS 8 · Published 2026-10-31

Thelia is an open-source e-commerce platform. An unauthenticated attacker can register a customer account with malicious JavaScript code embedded in their name field. When administrators view coupons that reference this customer, the injected script executes in the admin interface, allowing the attacker to steal CSRF tokens and create unauthorized administrator accounts.

## How to fix

- Fixed in Thelia 3.1.0

## Technical details

The ForSomeCustomers::getSummary() method in Thelia's coupon condition system directly concatenates customer names into an HTML message without escaping, allowing stored cross-site scripting. An attacker can register as an unauthenticated user with a script payload as their customer name; the malicious code executes when administrators view related coupons in the back office. This enables session hijacking and privilege escalation.
