CVE-2026-103522 · Severity: high · CVSS 7.2 · Published 2026-10-12

Thelia is an open-source e-commerce platform that lets merchants manage online storefronts and product catalogs. The store banner upload feature in version 2.6.0 only validates files based on the client-supplied MIME type, which an attacker with admin access can forge to upload malicious PHP scripts. This enables an attacker to execute arbitrary code on the web server and take complete control of the e-commerce platform.

## Technical details

CVE-2026-103522 affects the banner upload endpoint in Thelia v2.6.0, which performs insufficient file type validation by trusting only client-supplied MIME types without server-side verification. An authenticated administrator can upload a PHP file with a spoofed image MIME type to bypass validation and achieve remote code execution on the underlying server. This is a file upload vulnerability requiring administrative privileges and network access to the admin interface.
